The coin is devoted to the Hungarian national fairy tale "MATI Ludash". The goose of the homeless fellow of MATI as the fates decree catches sight to the greedy, spiteful and unfair count Debregi. He wants to take away from MATI of the only friend that that in any way doesn't wish to allow. In revenge the count punishes the boy in twenty five blows a stick. MATI swears to revenge the villain and three times secretly to flog it that he later with success manages some years.

The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is plain.

The Obverse: to the center the relief image of the 200 Forint, the down year of issue - 2001, to the top inscriptions - MAGYAR KOZTÁRSASÁG.

The Reverse: to the center the relief image of the main character Matyi Ludas and goose. The inscriptions on hungarian - FAZEKAZ MIHALY: LUDAS MATYI.
