Description
In 2009, Hungary welcom the 200-forint coin back to the ranks of its circulation coins.
Designed by István Kósa, the new coin depicts Budapest Chain Bridge. The Chain Bridge is perhaps one of Budapest's and indeed one of Hungary's most symbolic structures. The Bridge is more than just a crowning jewel of the Danube: it stands for nation's reform efforts in the 19th century and that era's great personage, Count István Széchenyi, one of Hungary's greatest figures, who fathered the idea of the Chain Bridge.
