Description

Sir Henry Morgan (Ca. 1635 -1688) was amongst the most successful and most pitiless pirates who ever sailed the Spanish Main. Morgan was infamous for his habit of torturing hapless captives to obtain tactical information.

The Reverse: depicts Henry Morgan against the backdrop of a pirate ship. The design includes a coloured representation of a pirate chest, two barrels (hogsheads) and a bottle of rum, and also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. 

The Obverse: portrait of the Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions along the rim - QUEEN ELIZABATH II, the down - 1 DOLLAR TUVALU 2011.
